Nominate an Outstanding Music Educator

Current Youth Symphony of Kansas City members are invited and encouraged to nominate a local instrumental music educator for the Youth Symphony of Kansas City Russell E. Berlin, Jr. Outstanding Music Educator Award. The award was established in 2018 to honor Mr. Berlin’s service to music education, students and the Youth Symphony of Kansas City.

To be considered for the award the individual must be a local Kansas City area public school, private school or private studio instrumental music educator.

Nominations must:

-be submitted by current YSKC students

-be descriptive and explain why the educator deserves recognition.

Submitted nominations should describe how this educator has made a difference in the student’s life and music education.

All nominations must be submitted by April 15, 2025. Selected honorees will be recognized during our Spring Concerts in Helzberg Hall on April 26, 2025.
