YSKC is honored to present an exceptional Masterclass hosted by distinguished faculty from Missouri State University’s Department of Music. Students will have a rare opportunity to work one-on-one with world-class musicians and learn directly from seasoned professionals.

Visiting Faculty

  • Dr. Jill L. Heyboer, Professor of Music (Flute)
    Specialist in flute performance, ensemble coaching, and pedagogy  
  • Dr. Lauren White, Assistant Professor (Oboe)
    Performing professionally in numerous area ensembles and holds chairs as principal oboe and oboe/english horn.
  • Dr. David Hays, Professor of Violin
    String specialist as part of Missouri State’s faculty—known to coach violin in chamber settings  
  • Dr. Amy F. Muchnick, Professor of Viola & Chamber Orchestra Conductor
    Experienced violist and conductor deeply involved in string pedagogy at MSU  
  • Dr. Daniel Ketter, Professor of Cello
    Esteemed faculty coach for cello featured in string instruction programming  
  • Dr. Yi‑Ping Chen, Assistant Professor & Orchestra Director (Conducting)
    Leads orchestral direction and instruction as faculty conductor at MSU
