YSKC has personally changed me and hundreds of others for the better. I can remember the first time I came to a rehearsal - there were students like me everywhere, forging friendships and life experiences through this experience. Once the first note was struck, I became infatuated with [the] music. The weekly rehearsals are always something I look forward to, with energetic and knowledgeable conductors to challenging music that pushes our musical capabilities to heights we couldn’t see in ourselves earlier. During the hardships of the past few years, YSKC has acted as a beacon of stability for me and hundreds of other students.
