Jessica Jarosz

Jessica Jarosz is a conductor and violinist from Andover, Minnesota. She graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN where she studied violin performance with Dr. Sonja Bosca-Harasim. During her time at Concordia, Jessica served as Assistant Conductor for both the Concordia Orchestra as well as Concordia Opera. She performed the first movement of Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No. 2, Op. 63 as a result of her success in Concordia College’s Concerto & Aria Competition. Jessica has performed in violin and chamber masterclasses for Libby Larsen, David Updegraff, Jessica Tong, and the Apollo Chamber Players. Jessica was recognized for her performance excellence as a violinist and conductor during her undergraduate degree with the Bruce Houglum Award.
After completing her undergraduate degree, Jessica began her master’s degree in orchestral conducting at the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory. She serves as the Orchestra Manager and Librarian for both the Conservatory Symphony and Philharmonic Orchestras, and manages the UMKC Orchestra social media accounts. In the Fall of 2025, Jessica was awarded a grant from the NEXUS Integrated Arts Series which resulted in her collaborative project “Between Earth and Echoes.” She currently studies conducting with Dr. Christopher Kelts, and violin with Professor Joseph Genualdi.
Her other engagements include serving as the Assistant Conductor of the Galloway Chamber Orchestra for their 2023-2024 season, and guest conducting the Kansas City Civic Orchestra from 2024-2026. She assisted in rehearsals and classes with the Anoka-Hennepin Summer Strings Festival during the summer of 2023. During the summers of 2022 and 2025, Jessica worked as a Conducting Fellow at Lutheran Summer Music where she conducted the Festival Orchestra, the Fellow’s Ensemble, and the historically-informed performance practice orchestra. This past summer, Jessica was honored to attend the Pacific Northwest Conducting Institute as a Conducting Fellow under the mentorship of Diane Wittry and Anna Edwards.
